SARAH SENECA Residential Services is an agency that supports individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities in residential settings.
The lead direct support professional will be the medical liaison for the group home.
This includes scheduling doctor appointments, medical follow-up, ordering medications and medical supplies, and working closely with the nurse.
The lead staff will assist the Program Manager with the house schedule and recreation calendar.
-The Lead Staff will support individuals served in maintaining a lifestyle which promotes individuality, responsibility, and dignity.
-The Lead Staff position will carry greater responsibility than that of other Support Staff.
-The Lead Staff person will act on behalf of the program site Manager in his/her absence, assume and carry out all delegated responsibilities as assigned.
-The Lead Staff will assist in training new staff and ensuring staff compliance.
-The Lead Staff will act as the medical liaison for the group home.
-The Lead Staff will have some supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalentCurrent Driver's licenseMINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Demonstrate at least one year of previous experience with developmental disabilities and residential services.
DDS Medication Certification must be valid and current at time of application.
Working knowledge of ADL skills.
