What You'll Do:
The Materials Coordinator is responsible forrecording the receipts of supplies and equipment, following up on misplaced,undeliverable parcels and items not received, updating the inventory and otherrelated activities.
Role and
Responsibilities:
Basedin Branford, Connecticut, the incumbent will be responsible for receivingshipments of reagents, disposables, equipment and biological samples.
Inspectpackaging to ensure no visible damage is observed.
Reviewsshipping documents to ensure bill or materials is in line with item(s)ordered. For clinical samples, inspectspackage and contacts Accessioning Personnel that a clinical sample has arrived.
Maintainsrecords shipments (quantity, etc.) received and sent in electronic database(LIMS).
Transportsincoming materials to its appropriate location either in the laboratory area orstorage.
Maintainsreceiving records and participates in inventory management through use of LIMS.
Resolvesissues with missing packages, incomplete packing slips, purchase orders, billsof lading and other receiving documentation.
Preparesitems (kits, returns, etc.) for shipment completing all requisite documentationand contacts shipper(s) to schedule pickup
SupportsClient Services by assisting with resolving customer inquiries; e.g., missingpackages, order status, inventory/stock levels of material.
Followingappropriate safety procedures, assists laboratory staff in packaging hazardouswaste in appropriate containers, with proper labeling, for pick-up.
Responsiblefor keeping loading dock/shipping area neat and tidy.
Performsother related duties as required.
What You'll Bring:
High-school diploma or equivalent
Demonstrated proficiency with computers
Excellent organizational and communicationskills.
Works well with others
Attention to detail
Capable of performing independently and as partof a team.
Able to lift and/or move up to fifty (50)pounds.
Experienced in use of dollies and pallet jacks
